叶神社の歴史は古く、養和元年（1181）神護寺文覚上人が京都、石清水八幡宮より勧請し
創建しました。
多くの伝説と物語がこの神社にまつわると言われています。

Kanou Shrine has a long history, having been founded in 1181 by the monk Jōnin Mōkaku from the Jingo-ji Temple, who invited the deity from the Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine in Kyoto. Many legends and stories are said to be connected to this shrine, adding to its mystique and allure.

前は海、後は山。美しい自然に囲まれた立地に鎮座して、人々を見守ってくれています。
神社の建物自体も歴史的価値が高く、訪れる人々を魅了しています。

浦賀の祭り
例年9月第二日曜日に行われるお祭りは壮観です。
地元浦賀の各町内から神輿や山車が20基以上集まります。
多くの担ぎ手達により其々が神社にお参りする風景は圧巻!!!　
浦賀最大イベントです。

燈明堂海岸は、澄んだきれいな海と細かい貝殻からできた白い砂浜のコントラストが
きれいな美しい場所で、「都内から最も近いスノーケリングエリア」と言われています。
対岸に房総半島が見え東京湾を行き交う大型の船が所狭しとばかりに
往来する光景を間近に見る事が出来ます。特に、夕暮れ時の景色は絶景で、
多くの写真愛好家たちが訪れます。

Tomyodo Beach is a beautiful contrast between the crystal clear water and the white sand beach made of tiny shells, and is said to be the “closest snorkeling area from Tokyo.”
You can get a close-up view of the Boso Peninsula on the opposite shore and the large ships passing through Tokyo Bay.
The view at dusk is particularly spectacular, and many photography enthusiasts visit here.

たたら浜は、美しい砂浜と澄んだ海水で知られる人気のビーチです。

たたら浜と言えば「ゴジラ」
世界初の上陸地がこの「たたら浜」です。いわばゴジラ生誕の地です。
ゴジラファンにとっての聖地とも言えます。

久里浜「花の国」園内には巨大なゴジラの像が立ち、
夜にはライトアップされるなど、その迫力を一層引き立てています。
There is a huge Godzilla statue in Kurihama「Hananokuni・Flower Kingdom」Park,
which is lit up at night and is very impressive.

In particular, during spring, the sight of cherry blossoms and Godzilla together attracts many photography enthusiasts.

ゴジラモニュメントの周辺には、映画『ゴジラ』シリーズの展示や資料があり、ゴジラファンにとっては
見逃せない場所です。また、モニュメントの前では定期的にイベントが開催され、
ゴジラの着ぐるみショーや特撮映画の上映会などが行われています。
